CandlePro Update – August 23rd

Posted In: CandlePro
By:

A busy week last week but a great one for trading candlesticks. Some updates:

Update #1 – I wrote an extensive article on 10 different trading strategies that employ CandlePro signals. I’ll be adding this to the CandlePro forum for discussion and also to the regular blog – ONLY CandlePro subscribers will be able to view the crucial parts of the strategies. All you have to do is be logged in and the website will detect if you are a CP user and automatically give you the good stuff. Any other PipHutter viewing the material will just see a few sentences and the rest will be blacked out. This article will be going out tomorrow afternoon (I need to add some more charts to it).

Update #2 – The daily report is coming along nicely. Thanks @Ralf for the suggestions of adding the last signal from each timeframe to the performance report to see confluence at a glance.

Update #3 – You can now view BRAND NEW candles only. On the top nav where you make your scan selections above the “Go!” button you’ll now notice that the dropdown is called “age” and has four options:

  • SHOW ALL – This shows all signals that meet your criteria, closed and open
  • BRAND NEW – this shows last candle signals ONLY. So for example if it is 07:12 GMT then the last OPEN times of the 15m candles are at 06:45 GMT.
  • <10 CANDLES – this shows all signals that match your criteria and are LESS than 10 candles old, meaning they might still be valid signals per the 10-candle strategy even though they can be slightly older.
  • CLOSED ONLY – this shows closed signals (signals more than 10 candles old)

***NOTE: If you are currently in CP you may have to restart your browser and/or clear your browser’s cache for the “new candles” feature to work properly

Update #4 - I’m going to add a handy green, yellow and red light to the search results page to see how old a candle is at a glance. NEW candles will be green, <10 candles will be yellow, and closed candles will have a green light

Update #5 – I think I finally isolated the ‘duplicate candle’ issue (thanks to all who reported it and helped me track it down). I’ve put a fix in place but if you see any slip by be sure to send me an email at support@piphut.com with the candle information so I can take a look.

Update #6 – I will be modifying search results to show signal CLOSE time in addition to OPEN time. This should make it much more intuitive as to which candles are the most recent.

Update #7 – I still plan on holding a contest for best CP strategy, so get yours ready!

Update #8 – If you haven’t already make sure to check out the CandlePro trading strategy forum. I’m going to be adding the 10 strategies from Update #1 above, but several members have already begun adding their own well thought out strategies. Check it out here.

These updates can be seen in the “User Guide” as well.

Mark, thanks for the great job and looking forward to the 10 strategies. Thanks also goes to ukfitness for his contribution and devotion.

One suggestion for CP: is it possible to add/display a value on the Forecast Strength meter? Say 1~100 with 100 being the strongest? This way, the read can be more intuitive.

    Thanks.

Hi Max, do you mean like the forecast strength meter on the bottom right of the performance report? It lists the forecast strength on the meter as a percent (with 100 being the max).

If so please shoot that to bugs@piphut.com, it should be pretty straightforward to add that to the search results pretty quickly.

@piphut did y think that weekly candle is important for us i follow it , it gives us “information” for the new week; i look for last one closing on the end of the week and the new is in the same time wth new month

    Yes, Mark.
Could you make that value of strength under Performance page also display on the initial Search Results page?

Hi Mark, as always thanks for all your efforts. I wonder if you could add a triple button on pro chat for e/u g/u and a/u for all time frames, may a double as well. Thanks Joe G

Hi Joe, I don’t understand what you mean by a “triple button” on pro chat? Could you elaborate a little bit?
