Recap: We apologize for any inconvenience but it appears quite a few PRO members did not receive the resistance break alert email yesterday when resistance broke. No big loss on this particular setup – you’d be a little above break even at the moment, but we are still investigating the root cause.
After the 200 pip drop to start the week bears have stalled out and allowed bulls to push the pair back up above 1.2600. The markets are at a bit of a stand still at the moment as the pair searches for its trend given the fundamentals (or perhaps a better way to word is: how the markets react to the fundamentals).

As I mentioned earlier today, the Key south was 2550 and the Key north 2650….There s only 2 doors to get out of this house, front or back.
Lets meet the earlier made highs (and above) again….:-)

I’m doing great with two perfect Long scalps to wake up to. Since we are all above the 1DSMA, it’s near-term bullish.
I learnt last month the the middle of the month tends to bounce to the opposite direction. Of course May was an exception s it was a heavy trend.
So, if my calculations are right, we ought to be shorting as high as possible…for a stellar bearish end of the month.
But keep in mind that FOMC tomorrow may still bring bullish surprises.

June 19, 2012 at 14:54hello guys, i just added to my short a lot @2660 my tp is now 2540. It will turn out well but for now the bulls have found their strength, but it wont last. i should have sticked to my first idea, long @2630 tp 2730, but we’re not their yet. I have a pending short @2740 i don’t think we will go much above 2750, and if we do 1.3 will give enough resistance to push it back to 1.23 or lower.. Just my view of course.

Mid-term short set update: 4/12 orders have been triggered on the way up today. I would consider closing 3 if we get to 1.26 before FOMC.
That would be closing 3 to re-add at more or less the same places or higher after the FOMC statement tomorrow evening depending on the price action.

Asia is always tight range last months, so i expect no moves tonight, and then tomorrow matbe back above 27 but after that it is down we go (my view, and lately not a very good one.. its my money management that keeps me in the game, small lots is my golden rule (much more comfortable trading, less stress and steady profit, its working good for me the last months))

The 4 active ones from last night are still active and I will still book profit on 3 of them prior to the event in case we get close to 1.260 areas. Highest active at 1.272.

You can only buy them in the abbey on just e few dates and hours and you have to make a reservation, only 1 case of 24 bottles a person. There are only 6 abbeys who can call their beers Trappist in the world, it is legally protected.

We should get a run up on EU and then enter the disappointment phase and see the dollar strengthen after the FOMC.

All eyes are on the Federal Reserve monetary policy announcement as global economic growth concerns retake the spotlight from fears of a sudden rupture in the Eurozone after the weekend’s pro-bailout outcome to the Greek general election. With Europe expected to sink into recession while Asia sees its slowest growth since 2009 (according to a survey of economists polled by Bloomberg) this year, traders are looking to the US to offer a counterbalance.
With US Treasury yields already near record lows, the likelihood that more QE can generate a substantial increase in lending seems implausible. Meanwhile, Ben Bernanke has explicitly said it would be “very reckless” to seek a pickup in economic activity at the expense of higher inflation, meaning a QE3 program that amounts to little more than a confidence-building exercise is unlikely.
Still, US economic data has increasingly underperformed over the past two months, meaning a reboot of the so-called “Operation Twist” – a scheme meant to target a reduction in long-term borrowing costs in place since late September – and perhaps another extension of the time period within which rates are pledged to be kept low seems appropriate.
On balance, this would amount to a reinstatement of the status quo considering Operation Twist is due to expire this month. With markets pining for accommodation, this is likely to disappoint investors and drive risk aversion, sinking growth-geared copper and crude oil prices. Gold and silver are also vulnerable amid receding demand for precious metals as a store-of-value hedge against dilution of paper currencies.
