Forex Signals – EURUSD Friday Short
Recap: Our short was triggered yesterday on the 14:37 resistance break at 1.2524. That short quickly jumped 35 pips into the profit before consolidating upward. Our short is still open and 24 pips in the profit currently.
We have three profitable trades open from yesterday and we will keep all of them open today (and not open any new trades): short on EU, short on GU, and long UChf.
After the support break yesterday in EU there is still plenty of room to fall. We are most concerned with the effect Bernanke’s speech will have on the markets even we know that most likely the speech will cover absolutely nothing new and simply say: “we wish the economy was better. There are some promising signs but we stand ready to do more if need be” – and then the markets will explode :).

last year 2nd half of august eu had a 289 pip range then a nice 1400 pips in september… this year we had 335 painful trading pips… roll on September !!!!!!!!

Gold Oil or whatever commodities wont be able to give you a lead today because of Jackson Hole……Just keep both eyes on the DJ Index! As only the DJ will tell you what the currencies are gonna do lol :-)

August 31, 2012 at 07:12@Pipsqueek – Jenny only now saw you last comment in y/days signal….I agree with your 2465 level. Lets see if its strong enough to hold and bounce back? Even if it breaches there is another good trampoline just around/above 2440 and if 2465 fails then its there from where I expect the move up will start again. I may place a pending Buy around there…
Most folks (Incl. our good Mark) think Banana Ben wont say much and that would mean the Euro will drop….
I however have my thoughts about it. I do think Ben will hint that more action is coming up and, if so, I expect the market will switch gears into overdrive….It will go like crazy…
Ben’s speech may see the dollar fall sharply directly after he stops talking!
As per your last comment…… 1,27 here we come :-)
Now I really gotta go out…..Try to be here when the major event of the day will come up (Not sure?)

@Pipsqueek – Hi Jenny, My Long(s) still open and running…..But I think I may close them out at 2570 and turn Short there targetting 2490. (A sust. break of 2600 and I may close and go Long!)
Once reached 2490 I will see what happens there? Will THEY wanna bring this further down, or do we get one more bounce up from there and will see 2600 and above after all?
My view for the moment anyway.

This week I was following my view / strategy of last Sunday (discussed on piphut) and applied stop pending orders for extra profits. Really Happy that it was very successful. Gold @1651 and Silver @30.40 on the shelf now. September is historical the BEST MONTH for GOLD AND SILVER. It inspires me to make a good strategy for that. Reminder: Monday (Sept 3) Labor Day. Wish everyone a relax weekend and be fresh Monday/Tuesday :-)

September 3, 2012 at 03:05EURUSD breaks above 1.2589 resistance and reaches as high as 1.2636, suggesting that the uptrend from 1.2241 has resumed. Further rise could be expected, and next target would be at 1.2700 area. Key support is at 1.2465, only break below this level could signal completion of the uptrend.
