    UPDATE: New Features Q&A

What are the “three new features”?

In short: 1) a setting to receive entry/tp/sl emails for our SwingPRO trades, 2) a live trade monitor where you can see exactly where we stand at any time, and 3) on-chart trading information such as TP line, SL line, etc.

Scroll down this post to the “Original Announcement” for screenshots and more information.

    Why will these benefit me?

These features are designed to make you feel as if you are looking over our shoulder into our trading strategy, as we trade. You get notified every time we enter or close a position, be able see our charts and monitor our positions.

If you have mastered the swing trading system this will make it even easier, and give you deeper insight into SwingPRO.

For those who have struggled with swing trading or other trading systems, that “over-the-shoulder” feel will be critical for you to develop confidence in the system.

How do I access these new features?

    1) Entry/TP/SL alerts – Visit your PRO Dashboard, select the “Settings” tab and check the box labeled “(BETA) Trade Alerts”. Screenshot below:

    Beta Trade Alerts setting

    2) Live Trade Monitor

    3) On-chart trade information – this will be available when we come out of BETA.

    What does “BETA” mean?

“Beta is the software development phase following alpha. It generally begins when the software is feature complete. Software in the beta phase will generally have many more bugs in it than completed software, as well as speed/performance issues and may still cause crashes or data loss. The focus of beta testing is reducing impacts to users, often incorporating usability testing. The process of delivering a beta version to the users is called beta release and this is typically the first time that the software is available outside of the organization that developed it.” -thanks Wikipedia!

    Why are we in beta-mode?

Because we want your feedback before the “final” release! Your feedback will help us to improve the software, make it more user-friendly, and ultimately help produce the best, most useful product possible for you.

    How do I give feedback?

You can email us or use the “Contact” tab on the right-hand side of the Live Trade Monitor.

Can I follow the entry/TP/SL signals?

No! While in “beta” mode we consider the trades found here to be unreliable and they may not match SwingPRO during beta. They will be reliable when we come out of beta, scheduled for early next week.

What is in store for PRO?

When we come out of beta the new features will be integrated into the existing PRO Dashboard for a better user experience. Beyond that there are lots of exciting things in store for PipHutters this year… more on that later…

What kind of feedback do you want?

All feedback! Including: discrepancies between SwingPRO and the live trade monitor, user-interface suggestions, bugs, encouragement, etc, etc!

Thanks everyone! Here are the original messages and updates below. If you have a question that others could learn from please post it in this thread!

    -Mark

    UPDATE – May 1st @ 5:30a:

You now have access to the new entry/TP/SL signals and the Live Trade Monitor! Visit the PRO Dashboard, select the “Settings” tab, and then check the “(BETA) Trade Alerts” box as shown below.

The on-chart trade information will be added this weekend when we come out of BETA mode!

    Original Announcement:

We are excited, happy and proud to introduce three awesome, powerful and PROFITABLE features that are designed to make PipHut’s trading drop-dead simple to follow:

Feature #1 – Entry/TP/SL Email and SMS alerts!

You asked for it so we are giving it to you! The new alerts are easier to understand and follow: we’ve eliminated the extra step of you needing to check the daily analysis to determine our TP/SL levels. Now, alerts are to the point, giving you the info you need to make quick decisions!

Here are some screenshots of the new Entry/TP/SL email format (sample trade):

    Entry/TP/SL alerts

    TP Hit alert!

    Pretty easy, right?

These new alerts will cover ANY trade modification – Entry, false break, TP hit, SL hit and weekend close! Minimize the risk of you being “left behind”.

Feature #2 – Live Trade Dashboard!

For our second feature we wanted to make it a snap for you to quickly see what trades we were currently in, as well as our recently closed trades. We also assigned a ID # to each trade we take, so if you have any questions or want to discuss certain trades you can make sure everybody is talking about the same trade!

    Live Trade Dashboard

    Feature #3 – On-Chart Trade Details

Just in case the first two features don’t make it drop-dead easy enough for you to follow PipHut’s daily trades, we’ve added “on-chart” trade details so you can visually see our setups ON our swing charts (which are refreshed every 10 minutes!):

READ ME: How the upgrade will work!

Since this is a MAJOR upgrade we will roll out the new features slowly, and we will consider them as BETA features until we can collect feedback from you. As BETA features WE WILL NOT TRADE OFF OF THESE SIGNALS UNTIL THIS ROLL OUT IS COMPLETE.

To make it as easy as possible for you, you have three options for how you choose to upgrade:

    1) (default option) skip the upgrade for now and continue to receive the S/R signals as they are. You will be able to upgrade to the new signals at any time
    2) Receive the current S/R alerts *and* the new Entry/TP/SL alerts
    3) Receive *only* the new Entry/TP/SL alerts

For all of May (and possibly longer) you will be able to toggle between the three options above as frequently as you want. Also no matter which format signals you choose to receive you will still have access to the Live Trade Dashboard and the on-chart trade details.

    When do I get access!?!

    UPDATE – May 1st:

You now have access to the new entry/TP/SL signals and the Live Trade Monitor! Visit the PRO Dashboard, select the “Settings” tab, and then check the “(BETA) Trade Alerts” box as shown below:

    Beta Trade Alerts setting

Very soon! The first users will receive their emails this afternoon letting you know when you can turn on the new features and how to access them! We will transition users over in groups and anticipate ALL users having full access to these features by May 1st!

    I have a question!

We are here to help! These new features are going to greatly simplify our trading and analysis process, making it much easier for you to follow along! Please ask your questions below so that others can see the Q&A!

    This is awsome!
I am happy piphut keeps adding new features to give us even more bang for buck.

    Thanks a lot!

Thanks Mark, I will like the window showing which trades are active. Also the list of close closed trades showing the entry and close prices, which we can reconcile with own lists and journals. ( helps to bring them up to date when I don’t update my own list). The email signals are not to be traded until everyone is rolled out, I take it these are in effect the same as the  support and resistance breaks, only the new emails will have the exact entry/TP information. Thanks again, and best wishes Chris

@piphut: Great news! I appreciate all of your efforts. Just one question: if the trade setups are the same for both old and new alert system and the signals on entries are the same just the new system offers more information why do you decided not to trade off the signals?

    @skyshark: Great question.

To mitigate risk and to allow to maximum flexibility the signals are running on a separate server, parallel to current system. Different terminal too. This gives us maximum flexibility to, for example, apply a quick patch or take down the new server for a few minutes to make an upgrade based on the beta feedback.

@mike: we don’t support Moneybookers or Liberty Reserve, but I can give you my old answer ;) – our standard signup form will accept any major credit card from ANY country – including Nigeria.

Sorry I didn’t make this clear: right now when you turn trade alerts on you will receive them IN ADDITION to the S/R alerts. When we come out of beta it will be an and/or option to receive either the old, new, or both.
