Thanks Olu for pointing out that we were short-changing ourselves on our July performance: the detailed performance reports were listing a total of 210 pips, while the sidebar noted total of 158 pips for July 2013. In these cases the detailed performance reports are right 99.% of the time (as they poll the actual trades each time you access the page), vs. the sidebar which depends on the daily post to update it and keep adding to itself (which leads to small rounding errors, but that’s not what this is).
I’ve attached a screenshot of the performance results database table and it looks like the cause of the discrepancy was that the total was not updated when the last row was updated. In other words, all the different pair’s results add up to 206 instead of the 158 that is showing.
We are updating the sidebar total to the sum of the pairs, which we validated against the actual trades, which is 206. The detailed performance reports show 210. The difference between the two is a result of the sidebar rounding (so the actual is 210, not 206).
